Aero Norway is an independent engine MRO specialist located at Stavanger airport on the west coast of Norway. The modern and well-equipped 14,500 sq.m. facility has the capacity to deliver 120 engines a year with streamlined workflow processes to repair 16 engines consecutively at any one time. Production, test and storage areas cover a further 12.500 sq.m., with the headquarters and training centre adding another 2,700 sq.m. The Company employs over 95 highly trained mechanics, inspectors and engineers within the engine shop who work a continuous shift pattern to sustain optimum TATs. The Aero Norway apprentice scheme currently has eight trainee engineers, all of whom are undertaking a two year program. A further 50 personnel are responsible for the sales, customer support and administration. Around the world, Aero Norway has strategic partnerships with more than 20 key suppliers and OEMs. These relationships are rigorously reviewed to maintain quality and cost-savings which are passed on to customers.


Job description

  • Collaborate with super users and end users to assess near- and long-term information needs.
  • Serves as liaison between end-users, super users and software development teams including functioning as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in translating requirements to software development teams.
  • Reviews and seeks understanding of operational business procedures and methods specific to functional business areas by defining and analyzing business activities, proposing best practices, and recommending solutions
  • Recognizes discrepancies and/or problems with analysis, process mapping or system implementation results and leads toward a corrective action.
  • In conjunction with the ERP Manager, plan and implement changes to support growth of AN Operations; continuous improvement, upgrade of ERP applications.
  • Coordinate with ERP super users and provide oversight to anticipate potential problems or to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Facilitate ongoing efforts related to ERP system new developments and integration.
  • Support Design, develop, and generate ad-hoc and regular production reports
  • Delegate user tasks and provide orientation and training to end-users for all modified and new systems.
  • Work with all departments of AN in managing the technical operations supported by the ERP system.
  • Thoroughly understand ERP database schema.
  • Thoroughly understand business practices and procedures in order to design, develop and maintain automated workflow processes
  • Assist with testing new releases of ERP system prior to use in a production environment.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and with all local and national laws and regulations in the area of Quality, Finance and Ethics


  • University Degree in aerospace, mechanical, IT, or Computer science. Candidates with extensive ERP experience will also be considered for this position
  • Preferable a minimum 2-3 years of experience in ERP system coordination in repair workshop or manufacturing environment
  • SQL Query Knowledge
  • Report design knowledge with any reporting tool
  • Good business acumen
