Global Key Account Manager

Hempel A/S is looking for a Global Key Account Manager to be part of a global sales team that strives to build customer relations and grow our profits on the highest level 
 
Job profile
Development of global key accounts within Nordics and Scandinavia coordinating efforts towards a range of global key accounts in close corporation with sales organisations globally, by ensuring a global approach to key accounts with decision making across several business units. Majority of global key accounts are large ship owners, ship management companies and charterers with global presence.  
 
The position will be reporting to the Group VP of Marine Business, and get into an international team within Hempel’s commercial organization. 
 
Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for facilitating global approach to a range of large key account customers headquartered mainly in the Nordics.  
  • Global key account responsibility for a range of global large accounts.   
  • Coaching local Key Account Managers, implementing a global key account approach with complex decision making and true global business approach.  
  • Accountable for sales development (direct and indirect) for global key accounts.  
  • Ensure Hempel becoming a recognized leader in Seastock & Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). 
  • Ensure Hempel becoming a recognized supplier for new-building and maintenance at targeted key accounts.  
  • Guiding and supporting success with large global contracts through Hempel’s global sales organization.  
  • Joint visits with global and local sales ensuring commercial success.  
  • Travel 60-70 days per year.  
 
 
Qualifications and skills

  • 5-10 years of technical or commercial experience from global BTB sales and global customer coordination preferably from the marine and/or paint industry.
  • Experience with building up global account plans.  
  • Goal orientated.  
  • Experienced “hands on” experience with global customer handling. 
  • Preferably with a university degree or similar.   
  • Presentation and coordination skills.  
  • A sound general business understanding within BTB and from preferably marine and/or paint industries.  
  • Analytical skills.  
  • Fluency in English.  
  • As a person open, highly corporative with different cultures & functions including Supply Chain, Sales- and Technical functions.
