Service Technician

Do you have a strong technical background and do you want to become part of a new project team in Oslo Airport, who are taking care of the installation and commissioning of the new Baggage Handling System at Oslo Gardermoen T1?

BEUMER Group is looking for individuals who are interested in working in a fast-paced environment with many opportunities for development. After commissioning, you will have the possibility to transfer to the Residential Team who will be running the Operations and Maintenance contract from go-live in 2024. In other words, this is a fantastic role that will give you the experience of working throughout the complete system lifecycle from installation to service delivery, whilst constantly developing your skills and knowledge

Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Participation in Installation and Commissioning of the installed system
  • Assist in FAT Testing
  • Develop & deliver on-site testing (function, integration, and capacity)
  • Fault finding ability including software level issues
  • Ensure implementation and handover of the final approved system and transfer to Residential Team
  • Monitoring of SCADA-system, both in the control room and on the floor

Other than the above mentioned, you have a wide use of our Data Analysis tools, with a high focus on continuous improvements, as you will monitor all systems and communicate with the customer and other relevant stakeholders, where you will also be given the opportunity to act as a trainer for the customer and other team members.

Qualifications

We expect you to:

  • Be an experienced Technician
  • Ideal experience in Material and Baggage Handling Systems
  • Preferably a Norwegian or Swedish nationality
  • Ideally an Automation Engineer, Mechanical or Electrical Technician, Electrician or similar background

As a person we expect you to be self-motivation and eager to learn. You take ownership for the delivery, running and maintenance of the airport's baggage system, and you are a keen system improver who constantly challenges how things can be improved. Above all you are a team worker and are motivated by working along side other competent and enthusiastic colleagues.

After commissioning of the system in 2024, you transfer to the Residential Service-team, which is structured to provide a reliable and professional operation and maintenance support throughout the entire system. It is what enables the availability and throughput we promise. The staffing included covers the BHS operation and maintenance tasks 24/7-365 days a year, working shifts.
