Chief of Staff – Verisure Norway / Right hand to the MD

Verisure is seeking a talented, innovative, passionate Chief of Staff to report into the Managing Director Norway. The Chief- of-Staff will provide day-to-day support to the Managing Director in Norway by giving him additional leverage and amplifying his impact. This role provides an outstanding platform for a highly talented individual to work under the immediate supervision of the MD and generally help to implement its visions. The role is based in Oslo.

The role will be varied and is positioned to interact closely and with autonomy with the MD Norway, the local Management Team and other Leaders across the Group. Critical and strategic, the role will be expected to impact quickly and develop as the business grows. We are looking for someone who can make a tangible positive impact to transform and add value.

In December 2019, we’ve formed a strategic partnership with Arlo Technologies, a world leader in connected cameras and acquired all rights to Arlo’s European business. This allows us to offer connected camera services in Europe as a complement to our professionally monitored security service. It also allows us to access new go-to-market opportunities in retail and e-commerce. More recently, we have successfully refinanced 1.6 billion euros of debt over the summer 2020.


Verisure Norway

Norway today is a one of Verisure’s largest markets-with more than 600 employees and a robust portfolio of satisfied and loyal customers. During the last four years the company has seen a strong growth/development and is now getting ready for the next phase of its transformation, and the Chief-of-Staff will be one of the main pillars. The Management Team in Norway is led by the Managing Director who has put a new plan in place to further drive value with an objective to significantly grow over the next 5 years across turnover, EBITDA and customer profitability KPIs. The organisation is young, dynamic, ambitious and courageous.

Our next Chief-of-Staff will play an important role in the continuous development of our commercial strategy and execution where growth, profitability and CLTV are examples of priorities.


Responsibilities

The Chief-of-Staff will be a strategic partner and advisor to the Managing Director and the Management Team. The role will be transversal and have exposure to all the initiatives at Verisure Norway, while also have the end-to-end ownership of a number of critical and transformational projects.

Priorities will include:

  • End-to-end ownership of several critical and transformational projects, that could include:
    • Support in the development of new go-to-market and strategic partnerships
    • End-2-end process design of strategic changes and drive full roll out
    • Sales channel optimisation - optimizing sales processes, incentives and performance management structure to improve sales, installation and service lead times, to support an efficient omni channel strategy.
    • Develop better strategic knowledge of industry players and market commercial dynamics
    • Participate in business performance tools development
    • Importing group best practices and help applying them in Norway
    • Support in product-proposition-packaging work, e.g. roll-out of Arlo camera products across distribution footprint and development of new Securitas Direct alarm product suite
  • Right hand to Managing Director
    • Amplify impact and reach of Managing Director, supporting him on the definition and implementation of the strategy for Norway and key value creation initiatives
    • Closely work with MD on ad hoc interventions which require high attention and deep dive analysis
  • Transversal and multidisciplinary business enabler
    • Work closely with the entire Management Team on strategic and transversal projects impacting including Marketing and Lead Generation, Commercial channels including field sales, sales structure creation, alliances, Portfolio, Operations.
    • Facilitate interactions with many stakeholders at country and group level
    • Participate with strategic planning in projects for our company, both at country and global level

  • High Potential / Top Performer from from either, or a mix of
    • Top tier strategic consulting firm
    • Fast paced international organization  with strong commercial and operational dynamics.
  • Proven strategic and complex project management skills from initiation, planning, design, up to execution.
  • Top tier education background with a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field of study (such as engineering or business administration)
  • Ideally, previous hands-on experience with commercial projects/sales projects in fast paced B2B2C and B2C companies
  • Significant experience in multi-national and multi-cultural environment
  • Strong track record on project management and presentation skills
  • Fluent in Norwegian (or Swedish) and in English – any other European language would be an asset.
